ESAD 2017-18 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Oh my goodness! It’s almost time to share the new annual catalogue with the world! In the Stampin’ Up! world, this is one of the most exciting times of the year because a huge range of brand new stamp sets, in-colours, designer series papers, ribbons, trims, framelits, thinlits etc. become available.

As Independent Demonstrators, we’ve come together to offer you all a sneak peek of some of the many new products that will be available for you to purchase in just a few days time. You might be starting this blog hop with me, or perhaps you’ve hopped over from Renee’s brilliant blog post. Regardless, enjoy the journey through, and feel free to leave a comment 😊

At first glance, the Pieces & Patterns stamp set and Pick a Pattern DSP may not look like much, but I saw potential – my first instinct was to create a mini notebook cover and matchbox-style pencil case.

It took me ages to get the measurements just right, but the end result is a cute gift ready to give!

Products used:

  • Pieces & Patterns stamp set
  • Pick a Pattern DSP
  • Emerald Envy and Whisper White cardstock
  • Flirty Flamingo ink pad
  • Stitched Shapes framelits

After making that, I became inspired to create another pencil box, but this time I used the new hostess stamp set Feathery Friends and made some note cards to go with it.

The note cards have been stamped with Basic Black ink in two different designs, with the idea being to gift these. The receiver can colour them with the pencils provided, then send them with a note on the back. Who doesn’t love receiving snail mail!?

I used all the new 2017-2019 in-colour markers alongside the 2016-2018 in-colour markers to colour the design on the pencil box.

Tip: if you’re right-handed, colour from left to right to avoid smudging your work (vice-versa for left-handers).

Finally, I tied the note cards into a neat bundle with some new Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.

Products used:

  • Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White cardstock
  • In-colour markers
  • Feathery Friends stamp set
  • Thick Whisper White cardstock (for the note cards)
  • Basic Black ink pad
  • Lemon Lime Twist ribbon

Well, that’s it from me, but fasten your seatbelt and click the arrow to go visit Sharon!

Happy stamping!
💟 Violette

  7. What a beautiful gift to give someone who isn’t feeling quite themselves or anyone really. Who wouldn’t smile after receiving a gift like this? I know I’d be grinning from ear to ear! I am and I just got to see what you made. Awesome! TFS!

  8. I’m doing the invites and any other papers that can be DIY for a wedding. I saw your projects and thought about the children that will be at the wedding. What a perfect way to keep some of them quite during the ceremony. Even the ring barrier and flower girls can carry these with them and sit down and color while waiting. What a beautiful idea you gave me. Thank you so much for sharing!
