Quick & easy ‘Balloon Adventures’ card with instructions

Happy weekend everyone! I don’t know about you, but my life has been crazy hectic since school went back, so I haven’t had much of a chance to do some crafting. Today I sat down and created these super quick & easy cards using the Balloon Adventures stamp set. Hope you enjoy this project 😊

First, you’ll need to get your cardstock ready. You’ll need half an A4 sheet of cardstock in the colour of your choice for the card base, scored in half. You’ll also need a 7.5×13.9cm piece of Whisper White cardstock and some small scraps of cardstock in your choice of colour for the balloon.

I’m making a bulk lot, using Dapper Denim, Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. I made one earlier using Sweet Sugarplum.

After you’ve scored your card bases in half, it’s time to stamp some balloons on the right edge of each card, using the matching ink colour. I used the dot balloon and the stripe balloon alternately, beginning at the top and working my way down. You’ll fit 4 balloons down the edge.

Put the card bases to one side, and get ready to stamp on those Whisper White pieces of cardstock. Stamp a ribbon and bow on each piece – I used Smoky Slate. Make sure you leave enough of a gap at the top to fit the balloon. Then use your matching ink again to stamp a sentiment.

Next, you’ll need to choose a coordinating colour to go with each card (perfect time to use up some scraps) for the balloon. For example, on my Sweet Sugarplum card, I used Flirty Flamingo for the balloon. Use either the dot or stripe balloon and stamp using the matching ink colour. Then use the balloon punch to punch out the balloon. Adhere it to the Whisper White cardstock with a dimensional.

Lastly, adhere your Whisper White strip to the left side of your card base, using 5 dimensionals (one in each corner and one in the middle). They’re now ready to give!

Hope you enjoyed this quick project and that the rest of your weekend is super!

Love,

Violette 💟
